PCGS has worked with APMEX to include the PCGS FirstStrike® seal of approval on the MintDirect® Premier product. These 2023 MintDirect® Premier Silver Maples, which were graded in their original sealed packaging by PCGS and meet its rigorous criteria for FirstStrike® eligibility, are recognized as meeting their rigorous standards for FirstStrike® designation. After the mint tubes pass through a machine that seals them completely, they're sealed according to APMEX's standards right in the mint boxes. The tube ends are sealed with tamper-evident packaging as they go into the machine on a conveyor belt. The tube is then removed from the machine and, after inspection, verified to assure that the packaging meets our rigorous requirements. You now have a MintDirect® Premier + PCGS FirstStrike® 2023 1 oz Silver Maple Leaf coin wrapped in pristine purity.

The Canadian Silver Maple Leaf coins feature an oxidized finish that helps to reflect light onto the front of the coin, giving it a beautiful sheen. The Royal Canadian Mint's Security Features
Since 2015, The Royal Canadian Mint's Bullion DNA program has provided the most secure bullion coin on the market. Each bullion coin includes a textured maple leaf security privy mark micro-engraved with laser technology that is visible only under magnification. The two digits indicating the coin's production year are etched into the maple leaf security mark, while micro-engraved radial lines ensure bullion authenticity and prevent counterfeiting. The world's only documented technology for reducing the appearance of white spots or "milk spots" on silver bullion coins is now found on all 2018 and later Silver Maple Leaf bullion coins. MINTSHIELD™ Surface Protection, the unique feature of these coins, protects them from fingerprints, scratches, nicks, abrasions and stains.
