New Silver Eagle Design
Announced last year, 2021 marks the 35th Anniversary of the American Eagle Coin program with the new designs, which will begin appearing on these coins midway through the year. AIP Designer Emily Damstra created the new 2021 Silver Eagle design, which was sculpted by Mint Medallic Artist Michael Gaudioso. The new 2021 American Silver Eagle design depicts a single eagle coming in for a landing, carrying an oak branch as if to add it to a nest.

APMEX MintDirect® Premier with PCGS FirstStrike®
APMEX has partnered with PCGS to add the assurance and recognition of the PCGS FirstStrike® designation to the MintDirect® Premier product. After reviewing and vetting the MintDirect® process, PCGS recognizes these 2021 MintDirect® Premier Silver Eagles as meeting their strict requirements for FirstStrike® eligibility if submitted for grading in their original sealed packaging.

APMEX uses a special machine during this process to ensure products received are sealed completely. Once they are removed directly from the mint boxes, the mint tubes are placed on the conveyor leading into the machine and seals both ends with tamper-evident packaging. After the process is completed, the tube is removed from the machine and checked to ensure the quality of the packaging meets APMEX’s precise standards. The MintDirect® process provides you the assurance this product has not been opened, sorted or searched.
