Chevrolet’s 1939 Service Neon Sign
Neon signs have become associated with the spirit of America, because there are connotations of the west, exploration and bold messages within a neon sign. That’s why this Chevrolet Service 1939 neon sign has become so beloved. The Chevrolet name and brand allude to this classic American business’s legacy, and having it lit up in neon emphasizes the company’s hardworking and down-to-earth attitude.

This service sign has been commonly used in Chevrolet service stations as well as dealerships, and it acts as the perfect reminder of the company’s well-made cars and top-of-the-line service it provides.

The History of Chevrolet
Chevrolet began as an experimental shop in Detroit, which expanded throughout the decades until World War II. A majority of the production facilities and assembly plants were converted to military or postwar manufacture, with many more on the way.

In 1909, William C. Durant, the founder of Buick Motors Corporation, hired Louis Chevrolet, a well-known automobile driver, to develop a vehicle that people could purchase. In 1911, the Chevrolet Motor Company of Michigan was incorporated and began producing automobiles the next year. In 1912, "Chevrolet Motor Company" was changed to "Chevrolet." It went through a number of expansions as the vehicle's popularity increased, culminating in it becoming a part of General Motors in 1918.

From 1931 until 1941, Chevrolet was the world's best-selling auto brand. Chevrolet is well-known for producing everything from subcompact vehicles to medium-duty commercial trucks.
