I tried to buy this coin direct through the mint. I ordered the coins 4 months before they were produced. My order was denied because the mintage was sold out to the big dealers. I should have known this by trying to deal with a "government agency" who makes preferences to dealers rather than us peons. Anyhow I now have the coin and it is an exceptional addition to my collection. G. T. Gregory ANA member #3116
