Liberty Seated Quarters
The Liberty Seated design was added to the U.S. quarter in 1838. Designed by Christian Gobrecht, the obverse features Liberty seated on a rock and holding a pole with a slave cap atop it, while the reverse depicts an American eagle clutching arrows and an olive branch in its talons, symbolic of war and peace. There are seven different modified designs of the Liberty Seated quarter.Check out what other customers are saying.
