Lincoln Memorial Pennies
APMEX offers a superb selection of Lincoln Memorial Pennies and Lincoln Bicentennials (2009). Lincoln Memorial coins were created to mark the 150th anniversary of Lincoln’s birth. The wheat ears reverse was replaced by the Lincoln Memorial building, and the new Lincoln cent was released on February 12, 1959.If you enjoy collecting Lincoln Memorial Pennies, it's worth considering collecting Jefferson Nickels as well. This is the nickel that is still in circulation today for use as currency by the American public. For this reason, these coins have been produced in huge quantities, making all but the rarest dates fairly affordable for the average collector. For example, the 1964 Denver Jefferson Nickel BU is only marginally more expensive than the coin's 5 cent face value.
