APMEX MintDirect® Premier with PCGS FirstStrike®
APMEX has partnered with PCGS to add the assurance and recognition of the PCGS FirstStrike® designation to the MintDirect® Premier product. After reviewing and vetting the MintDirect® process, PCGS recognizes these 2021 MintDirect® Premier Silver Eagles as meeting their strict requirements for FirstStrike® eligibility if submitted for grading in their original sealed packaging with the U.S. Mint straps still intact.

New Silver Eagle Design
2021 marks the 35th anniversary of the American Eagle Coin program and the new designs began appearing on these coins in mid-year 2021. AIP Designer Emily Damstra created the 2021 Silver Eagle design, which was sculpted by Mint Medallic Artist Michael Gaudioso. The 2021 American Silver Eagle design depicts a single eagle coming in for a landing, carrying an oak branch as if to add it to a nest.
