Including four portraits of the queen, the committee he chaired discussed and approved the designs that were produced by the mint. Following the announcement of the passing of His Royal Highness The Prince Philip, Duke of Edinburgh on April 9, 2021, all reflected that his was a life well lived. In honor of this remarkable man, The Royal Mint has created this memorial coin to celebrate his life and legacy.
