Icons of Inspiration: Albert Einstein
The fourth installment of Icons of Inspiration is about Albert Einstein, widely recognized as one of history's most influential physicists. He is best known for his contributions to physics, including black hole theory, the theory of relativity, and light quanta. He was a physicist with exceptional skill and accomplishment, and his theoretical physics research, particularly relativity and quantum theory, significantly influenced science and philosophy. He was awarded the Nobel Prize in Physics in 1921 for his work in theoretical physics.

He opposed Adolf Hitler because of his pacifistic beliefs and Jewish heritage. He also wrote to Franklin D. Roosevelt, informing him that the Germans were manufacturing nuclear weapons and asking him to start researching them. Despite his dread that the Nazis would use nuclear weapons if they obtained them, Einstein opposed their use in war.

He is renowned for his curiosity, intellect, sense of humor and commitment to others. His discoveries helped to lay the groundwork for further advances in science and mathematics.
