The COTY (Coin of the Year) Awards for 2023-dated coins feature an impressive lineup of 100 coins, with 10 outstanding coins in each of 10 specific categories. The judging process has already begun, with over 100 experts casting their ballots to select one winner in each category. Following this, the same expert panel will conduct a second round of voting to determine the overall Coin of the Year, the most distinguished coin among the category winners.
The Coat of Arms Queensland was nominated for the Best Crown coin of 2023. The "Best Crown" category in the COTY Awards honors coins that are chosen for their exceptional quality, beauty, and significance, making them standout pieces in the world of numismatics. These are typically larger coins, often with a diameter of around 38-42 mm, and are usually made from precious metals such as silver, but sometimes gold or other metals.

Our friends from Downunder keeps the hits going. The Obverse showing ta impressive mintage of a stag simple and clean the reverse is again clean and simple minting of the Crane, sheep. However the only flaw I see is in the bull, not impressed with that engravement. other than that a good coin to add to your collection
