2023 American Silver Eagle MS-69 NGC
The first Silver Eagle design, created in 1986, was not the first time it was used in circulation. Weinman's Walking Liberty design was created during a time period in which American coinage charm was poor. The design was a quick hit with the average person as a reminder of American beliefs and patriotism. The American Eagle coin's obverse design is Adolph A. Weinman's full-length figure of Liberty in full stride, enveloped in folds of the flag, with her right hand stretched out and branches of laurel and oak in her left.
In 2021, a new reverse design was revealed - causing much attention to the series due to it being the very first redesign in the series ever. U.S. Mint AIP Designer Emily Damstra created the new design for the 35th anniversary year, which was then sculpted by Mint Medallic Artist Michael Gaudioso. The new Silver Eagle design illustrates a single eagle coming in for a landing, carrying an oak branch as if to add it to a nest. The design is featured on the 2023 Silver Eagles as well to add to the famed American Eagle legacy.

NGC, or the Numismatic Guaranty Company, is a third-party grading system with over 30 years of reputable experience in grading and certifying coins. NGC adds appeal by grading the condition of a coin before encapsulating it in a protective holder to maintain the condition.
