1/10 oz American Gold Eagle Coins
Congress initiated the American Gold Eagle program in 1986, and it became an international sensation. American Eagles are the first investment coin officially supported by the U.S. government.
A reputation of toughness and liberty are represented in the art. On the obverse side of the Gold Eagle, Lady Liberty steps courageously into the unfamiliar, bringing a torch as well as an olive branch. On the reverse side is an incredibly created portrait of the bald eagle, America’s icon of freedom. Each 1/10 oz American Gold Eagle contains .9167 fine gold.
These coins are not obtainable for purchase directly from the United States Mint. Rather, they are dispensed via a well-established network of authorized purchasers, such as APMEX.
