Holding a beautifully designed 2 lb pure proof like silver coin is a unique experience in itself. When you add the quality of craftsmanship of a coin this size along with the sturdy, classy attractive presentation / display box it came in, I can say, without hesitation or reservation, that if you buy one, you'll want another. I'm told that only the 2014 comes in the presentation box but it can be purchased for $ 9.95 which I will do for my 2015 issue.

Holding a Kilo Kookaburra Silver Coin in your hand is definitely better than two in a bush (or in a picture). You can actually buy two of these for about the same price as one ounce of gold and there is no comparison to looking at and holding a kilo of artistic silver to a similarly crafted gold coin. You are just overwhelmed by the weight and intricate design. A must have for any collection.

I had pretty much decided not to accumulate the Kookaburra after ordering a 2013 1 oz'er and even though there were 2 birds on that coin - it just didn't sing for me. Then I saw the 2014 and decided to give it another try in the kilo size. So glad I did! It is just beautiful! I have seen 5 or 6 kilo coins including some of the Lunar series and this is my favorite! The perfect balance between value and art!

I am new to investing in precious metals. but I woke up one day and saw that gold wasn't $1,800 an ounce any more. Then I started looking at the value proposition in silver and I just fell for it. First bought a few 1 oz. Maple Leafs, then stumbled onto this coin. It will blow you away. That's about all I can say. Amazing color and sparkle and detail. I want to sleep with it, it's THAT good!!!
