The Silver Elephant Coin is in the African Wildlife Coin Series, commemorating Africa's prestigious elephant. Minted by the Das Bayerisches Hauptmünzamt Mint (Bavarian State Mint) in Munich, Germany, Silver Elephant coins were first issued in 1999.
