The First Collaboration

This first-ever collaboration between two of the world's most popular mints resulted in the 2019 Pride of Two Nations Limited Edition Two-Coin Set, showcasing each country's most iconic Silver coin – the Silver Eagle and the Silver Maple Leaf. With only 100,000 released by the U.S. Mint and just 10,000 released by the Royal Canadian Mint, these are sure to sell quickly around the world.

Icons Reimagined

While these two Silver coins are known around the world for their bullion appeal as well as their beautiful, timeless designs, this unique set enhances both the Silver Eagle and the Silver Maple Leaf with new finishes and updated design elements. Explore the reimagined coins, available as raw sets or graded from PCGS, with both First Day of Issue and First Strike label options.

Enhanced Beauty

The special Silver Eagle included in this set comes in an enhanced reverse proof finish for the first time ever. Different from a normal reverse proof finish, this coin features a frosted background but the different design elements have different polished and frosted finishes. Just 110,000 total sets are being released by both mints, giving this Silver Eagle one of the lowest mintages of the entire series, lower than that of the extremely popular 2017-S Proof Silver Eagle.

Brilliant Maple Leafs

Similarly, the Silver Maple Leaf comes in a modified proof finish. On a normal proof coin, the image and inscriptions appear frosted against a beautifully mirrored background. However, with this first-ever modified proof Silver Maple Leaf, the inscriptions also feature a brilliant shine. While the obverse and reverse both feature the now-common radial lines, you will also see a series of small maple leaves and small stars surrounding the edge of each side, representing the partnership of Canada and the U.S. on these sets.

U.S. Mint Sets

The U.S. Mint is releasing just 100,000 of these sets, with a limited number graded by PCGS. The special First Day of Issue label, featuring an APMEXclusive® label of the U.S. and Canadian flags, highlights sets that were among the first shipped from the U.S. Mint. While only an exclusive number of sets will feature the First Day of Issue label, all additional graded sets offer the PCGS First Strike label. Both coins in these U.S. Mint sets also call out the special finish, grade and the coin's origin from the United States Mint.

This same label design, produced exclusively for APMEX, appears on the Royal Canadian Mint's First Strike sets as well. Each label specifies the unique finish, grade and origin of the coin. With such a small mintage, these Royal Canadian Mint sets are sure to sell fast.

Explore the Enhanced Reverse Proof Silver Eagle

For the first time ever, the U.S. Mint has produced a truly unique finish for their most popular coin series. The frosted field provides an elegant backdrop for the different elements, which are produced in different finishes. This coin is one of the scarcest Silver Eagle issues ever produced, behind only the 1995-W Silver Eagle.

Explore the Modified Proof Silver Maple Leaf

To represent the spirit of this collaborative set, the Royal Canadian Mint also introduced a new finish to their Silver Maple Leaf. This coin's iconic central maple leaf design is frosted while the surrounding elements are mirrored, creating a new look of elegance to a timeless design that is more than 30 years old.
