Pandas come in capsules from the mint that have a slight convex/curved shaped. This means that if you store them in a tube, they'll have one point in the center that makes contact with the next capsule, which I assume would scuff over time as it's wiggled about. These trays prevent your capsules from touching one another, thus preserving their finishes. In addition to my pandas, I also store Germania mint rounds in these, since they too come in convex-shaped capsules.

These racks are fairly cheap in manufacturing and price but allow for several types of coins/rounds to be both stored AND visible, unlike tubes and wrappers. Keep in mind the coins can be touched through the opening in front and back, as there is no cover in those areas. However, with 40mm slots, several coins and rounds fit—allowing different coins/rounds brands to fit. A versatile and different addition to storage. Recommended for generic storage.
