In 1999, the mint at West Point, New York accidentally produced what may become one of the most important rarities of the 20th Century by striking a limited quantity of Uncirculated 1/4 ounce American Eagle Gold coins with the "W" mint mark below the date. Normally, the mint mark appears only on Proof versions. However, in this case, the dies never received the special polishing that gives Proof coins their deep, mirrorlike qualities.
Protect and display your Gold Eagle in style by adding an attractive display or gift box to your order.
Containing 1/4 oz of Gold and featuring beloved designs, it is easy to see why the Gold Eagle is the most popular Gold coin in the United States. Add this 1999-W 1/4 oz Gold Eagle to your cart today!
