General Motors (GM) is an iconic American multinational corporation headquartered in Detroit, Michigan. Established in 1908 by William C. Durant, the company has a rich history and has been a significant player in the global automotive industry for over a century.

We offered GM licensed items such as silver and gold rounds, bars, sets, rounds packaged in TEP (Tamper Evident Packaging), and die cast cars.

Our Featured GM Round: Corvette 1 oz Silver Classic Emblem Flags & Script

This silver round celebrates Corvette's 70th anniversary, and it is popular for its collectability but also for its affordable price. It contains one ounce of .999 fine silver and is an APMEX-exclusive product.

Its obverse features a struck layout of Corvette's original crossed flags emblem logo. "Chevrolet" and "Corvette" can be seen above and below. The reverse shows the same design in addition to the metal content and purity.

Die Cast Cars: What is Die Casting?

We offer Cadillac and Corvette die cast cars. But, what is die casting? Die casting is a metal casting process characterized by forcing molten metal under high pressure into a mold cavity. The mold cavity is created using two hardened tool steel dies, which have been machined into shape and work similarly to an injection mold during the process. Die casting is especially suitable for manufacturing a large quantity of small- to medium-sized castings, making it one of the most widely used casting processes.

Advantages of die casting include:

  • High-speed production
  • Complex shapes with high levels of accuracy and repeatability
  • Reduction or elimination of secondary machining operations
  • Simplified assembly by integrating fastening elements

Die casting is widely used in industries such as automotive, consumer electronics, and appliances, where high-volume production of intricate metal parts is required.

Featured Gift for Car and Silver Enthusiasts

This die-cast set celebrates Corvette's 70th anniversary, and it includes a model of the black 1959 Corvette and two 1 oz .999 fine silver rounds in branded packaging. The Chevrolet Corvette is an iconic American sports car. The 1959 model belonged to the first generation of Corvettes, often called the C1 generation, produced from 1953 to 1962.

The first silver round on one side is the Corvette's original crossed flags logo in red, black, and white against a white background. The other side features the same logo with metal content and purity. The second round depicts a black 1959 Corvette facing the viewer with a white background behind it. The reverse shows a black 1959 Corvette with metal content and purity. Since this is a collectors set, it is often valued more over the spot price of silver.
