Very nice coin!

These Argentine 5Pesos coins were advertised as average circulated, with most being XF and some even of lesser quality. Imagine my pleasure when I found that Apmex had sent me this beautiful coin in what I would consider to be almost mint state condition. There is a load of mint luster left on this coin and I found no discernible flaws at all. I am very pleased! If you see one of these coins in stock, here at Apmex, buy it fast, before it disappears. They’re a bit scarce and are a great price for the gold content and scarcity. Thanks Apmex!

Impressive!

A unique coin with limited mintage. I like that a 130 year old coin has little to no wear. I hope I'm in as good of condition at that age. I want to recommend this to my friends. I will be purchasing more foreign coins to build my collection!

I got an 1887 in extremely fine / pushing AU condition. The portrait of Liberty on the obverse is very attractive, more so than on some American coins in my opinion. Very satisfied.

Cool Coin

If you enjoy holding a piece of history in your hand, than I recommend this coin. It's about the size of an American nickel and the design is beautiful in my opinion. My coin is dated 1886. Considering the age of the coin, it is still in pretty good condition. I don't regret my purchase.

Beautiful coin

Was this review helpful? Yes/ No

I bought this coin for a friend from Argentina. Now I want to buy one for myself! The coin I received is dated 1886. It's in good condition considering how old it is. I gave it five stars primarily for the beauty and historical value of the coin. I didn't think that I would appreciate gold coins from countries other than the United States. I was wrong. If you like owning a bit of history, I recommend buying at least one.

  • Pros
  • Value (low premium over spot)
  • Collectible (lower mintage)
