The finish on some of these small coins was not the normal Perth Mint quality, but APMEX was fair and fast to rectify the problem. For me, it is APMEX service and fair policies that make it possible to do business over the long run. I would recommend that collectors and resellers commit a portion to these coins and the 1 oz version. In the total scheme of things, these are very artistic and represent an amazing fish that is highly prized worldwide among knowledgeable Sport Fisherman. I think that over the long run these 1/2 Oz as well as the 1 Oz Yellowfin will be collectable. I'm 63 years old and have been an entrepreneur and small business owner for over 45 years. If there is one thing I know, it is that a company's honesty and integrity make all the difference. I do business where I find those values.
- Pros
- Recognized Brand
- Collectible (lower mintage)
- Value (low premium over spot)
- Easy to Sell
- Attractive Design
- Bottom Line
- Yes, I would recommend this to a friend.

I found this on sale at low premium over spot and purchased it simply because I didn't have one in my collection. I like the design but can't get excited by the matte finish. It's nice as a type-piece, but I don't think I'll buy a whole tube. Overall, I find no problem with design or quality of the coin, but I prefer the shine of coins like the Aussie Croc, Somalian Elephant, and Niue Turtle.
- Pros
- Collectible (lower mintage)
- Mint Condition
- Attractive Design
- Value (low premium over spot)
- Bottom Line
- Yes, I would recommend this to a friend.
