This review is for the 2015 1 oz Gold American Eagle MS-70 NGC (Early Releases): It was mistakenly entered under the 1/4 oz Gold American Eagle. I bought this product to compare it to standard Gold Eagle coin condition. It was no better than most in my small collection, and worse than one standard issue without a 70 rating. The edge of the reeding on the obverse side, under the L in the word Gold, is slightly mangled. Perhaps in minting or perhaps it was dropped. The other minor imperfections seem unavoidable. I spoke with APMEX about the imperfection, wanting to know if the mangled reeding disqualifies it a "perfect" coin, rated a 70 out of 70. They promised a call back from an expert to provide guidance on whether I should accept the coin or exchange it. I did not get the call. My conclusion: forget rated coins unless it has established humanistic value (due to rarity). I've decided to stick with bullion that is unrated. - See more at: http://www.apmex.com/product/84885/2015-1-4-oz-gold-american-eagle-bu/reviews#product-reviews
