The Canadian Gold Maple Leaf coin is one of the most popular and longest-running Gold bullion series in the world, with a history dating back to 1979. Originally struck as only .999 fine Gold, these widely collected coins increased their purity to .9999 fine Gold in 1982, making them a great investment for anyone looking to add some security to their portfolio. The maple leaf design on the reverse is iconic, making these coins highly sought after by collectors and investors alike.

The Royal Canadian Mint's Bullion DNA Program
The Royal Canadian Mint's Bullion DNA program offers the highest security on the market for any bullion coin. Since 2015, each bullion coin features a textured maple leaf security privy mark, micro-engraved with laser technology, visible only under magnification. Within the maple leaf security mark are two digits indicating the coin's production year. Each micro-engraving is encoded, scanned and recorded at the mint for future authentication, giving each coin unique Bullion DNA.

Note: These coins will come in BU, or Brilliant Uncirculated condition, meaning that there will be no wear on the coin, though light contact marks and spotted surfaces are possible. The MintDirect® process does not guarantee protection from spotting or tarnishing that normally occurs in chemically active metals, such as Gold, Silver and Platinum.
