Following the 200th Anniversary of Lincoln's Birth in 2009, a new reverse was designed for all Lincoln Cents going forward. The Shield reverse is emblematic of President Lincoln's preservation of the United States as a single and united country.
Set Highlights:- Struck in Copper-plated Zinc.
- Each roll is in original packaging from the U.S. Mint, but does not have a box.
- Obverse: Head of Abraham Lincoln, right, with date and mint mark.
- Reverse: Depicts a Shield signifying Lincoln's preservation of the United States and the resolve it took to keep a nation together in the face of uncertainty.
- Contains one roll of coins minted in Philadelphia and one minted in Denver, for a total of 100 coins.
