This Series 1935-A $1 Silver certificate was printed on special paper as part of a trial to compare how this paper would hold up in circulation compared with the regular paper being used. This scarce note is in Crisp Uncirculated-64 condition.
Currency Highlights:- This denomination and type was used widely in circulation until the 1960s.
- Graded by PMG as Crisp Uncirculated-64 EPQ and housed in an inert currency holder.
- Signatures of Julian/Morgenthau—Friedberg #1610.
- Face: Portrait of George Washington with "Silver Certificate" above and "One Dollar" below. Red "S" to the right of the Treasury seal.
- Back: Familiar design of a $1 bill featuring the Great Seal of the United States.
