The coin is an excellent design. But brilliant uncirculated? No. Under a scope there is plenty of evidence of handling history here, no shortage of nicks and scratches. Having said that I could at least readily tell the difference between my version of this coin vs the standard version. So the BU version of this coin is worth a premium over the standard... just not very much, not as much as what I paid.

This coin is beautiful. Great condition and priced with a low premium over spot. Easily recognized and a large coin with attractive design. I think it is a restrike but overall a great coin. Carlos

I have been a APMEX customer for a long time and I always wanted to buy the 50 pesos gold coin that would be in such a great condition but not a mint state and this coin is it.
