This 1960 Israel Gold 20 Lirot coin was the first Gold coin issued by the Bank of Israel. The coin commemorates the 100th anniversary of the birth of Dr. Theodor Herzl.
Dr. Herzl was an Austrian journalist and playwright, who was the chief leader of the Zionist movement.
