From 1977-1980 Russia issued a series of 100 Rouble Gold coins to commemorate the 1980 Summer Olympics in Moscow. This issue celebrates the Lenin Stadium, the present-day Luzhniki Stadium in Moscow.
The stadium held the Opening and Closing Ceremonies, track & field events and soccer finals.
Coin Highlights:
