I purchased this coin as a birthday present for my 90-year old mother. When she opened the package yesterday and saw what was inside she wept like a schoolgirl. As I am just now starting to get involved in numismatics, I made the purchase without regard to mint, and later learned that there were many more coins of this vintage minted in San Francisco than in Philadelphia, thus the lower value *from what I've been able to discover. Regardless, the coin arrived in absolutely mint condition, and my mom is thrilled by it. I've always wanted her to have a silver dollar from the year of her birth, and finally discovered that there were no silver dollars struck that year (1929), so had to go to 1928. Thanks, APMEX!!!!
