Dates on these random year coins will be of our choosing and may or may not vary, determined by stock on hand.

The Morgan Dollar holds a special place in U.S. coinage as it was the first coin to feature Lady Liberty with an American look, rather than the traditional Greek style. Her cap is adorned with wheat and cotton as a tribute to America's agricultural history.

The image of the eagle was also updated for the Morgan Dollar, showing a proportionally correct eagle with beautifully designed feathers. He carries an olive branch, showing America's desire for peace, and is perched atop a bundle of arrows, signifying America's readiness to defend her borders against attack.

The Morgan Dollar flooded the markets from 1878-1904. Nearly two decades after production halted, the Morgan Dollar was seen again for one year only, in 1921, due to a renewed desire for this iconic, beautiful design.

Beatiful white coins, few bag marks

Was this review helpful? Yes/ No

I bought this product, because I knew it would be as advertised! I have bought several BU bags and have been very pleased with the condition - very few bag marks on the cheek, as well as, beautiful white coins, a few with toning. I'm satisfied with the date mix, too. I have been a very satisfied Client of APMEX for years, but this is my first review. When I need bulk silver, slabbed silver or gold products, APMEX is my first choice. Thank you.

1878-1904 Morgan Silver Dollars (BU) 100

Was this review helpful? Yes/ No

I already left one comment but appears it did not get posted. I'm an avid buyer from APMEX and this purchase was disappointing. Seems the other buyers that have left comments got a better deal than I, or perhaps they did not send to be graded. I sent 10 sample out of the 100 to be graded - two were cleaned, one got an MS63 - the rest were 61 and 62 - which unless a true 20% of the 100 are cleaned, is BU, but I guess I expected better from past experiences with this company. Will buy from APMEX again - they've got great deals on generic silver and hard to find items - but for bags of Morgans BU, I will have to pass.

Satisfied Customer

Overall very satisfied. Most of the coins were what I would consider BU. There several real beauties, and a few clunkers. Happy with the mix, 10 San Francisco, and a bunch of New Orleans.

COINS ARE BU AS DESCRIBED. 46 OF THE COINS IN MY ORDER ARE 1884-O AND ANOTHER 47 COINS ARE 1885-O. THE REMAINING 7 ARE VARIOUS P MINT DATES. I RECIEVED WHAT WAS ADVERTISED BUT I DID EXPECT MORE VARIETY IN THE COIN DATES AND MINTS. I AM SATISFIED WITH MY PURCHASE.

  • Yes, I would recommend this to a friend.
