Jefferson Nickels are a popular coin

The Jefferson Nickels replaced the Buffalo Nickel to much success. The Jefferson Nickels were commonly referred to as War Nickels before 1965, but these coins maintain their popularity today. Also of note is that this nickel is the only current U.S. coin to have its original composition. Collectors seek out Jefferson Nickels for their quality and its place in history.

Protect your 1950-D Jefferson Nickel and maintain its value

The 1950-D Jefferson Nickel mintage is the lowest in terms of production since its inception in 1938. While the 1950 edition comes in many grades and conditions, it is valuable to collectors and numismatists. As such, it is important to find the right display item for the coin and take the necessary precautions to protect this coin. Coin collectors will enjoy the value these coins offer.
The 1950-D Jefferson Nickel is highly sought after by collectors because of its rarity.

Get these while you still can

This key date nickel in uncirculated condition is a bargain at these prices. With the rarity of this date, and historical pieces of any kind being under attack, I expect these coins to become much harder to get in any grade (especially the 1950D). Definitely well worth the price--and much quicker to get than I expected with something this rare.

  • Pros
  • Value (low premium over spot)
  • Attractive Design
  • Collectible (lower mintage)
  • Mint Condition
  • Bottom Line
  • Yes, I would recommend this to a friend.
