APMEX offers a fine selection of $100 Red Seal United States Notes. Issued in 1966 only, these Red Seal notes were backed only by the credit of the U.S. government. Despite that fact, they were issued at a time when money was redeemable for Gold or Silver. These notes had a red treasury seal and red serial numbers. This is the highest denomination of this series.
