Investors highly value this Gold coin for its smaller size and high Gold content.

Collect the Mexico Gold 20 Peso coin featuring the Aztec Sun Stone.

Add this Mexican Gold coin to your collection and own a piece of Aztec history. The Mexican Gold coins on the obverse feature a rendering of the Aztec Sun Stone, which was discovered in 1790 buried in the main square of Mexico City. The Aztec Sun Stone is thought by many to have been carved between 1502 and 1521, and along with Mexican Gold coins, you will also find the design used in Mexican folk art. When showing the Gold coins to family and friends, you can discuss the many theories surrounding the Aztec Sun Stone about whether it was used primarily as an astrological calendar or a ritual altar.

Not AU-BU. Dull with wear

Was this review helpful? Yes/ No

Received two 1918 coins. One is in a little better condition than the other but both seem to be in VF+ condition due to wear. Both look to be cleaned & one has some discoloration on it. Was pleased that I got one of the earlier dates, but disappointed in the condition. I hope the 50 peso that I ordered that is in processing will be better than these.

Mine appears cleaned

Was this review helpful? Yes/ No

My "AU/BU" coin arrived with signs of having been cleaned, and a couple larger scratches. Not going to bother filing an exchange since it still has decent eye appeal and the premium wasn't too bad, but Apmex needs to sort these better. Still an OK deal for the price.

Got home from work and found a package from APMEX. A day earlier than expected. This random year AU/BU was a 1959, as expected. The condition is amazing. Absolutely perfect. Far exceeded my wildest dreams.

A Favorite

Was this review helpful? Yes/ No

This design is one of my favorites. Very attractive and not so small that it is hard to appreciate the detail. In addition, the premium is quite low for a "fractional" coin. Most are 1959 strikes, but once in a while you get a different year, which is cool. I will continue to order these.

  • Pros
  • Value (low premium over spot)
  • Attractive Design
  • Easy to Sell
  • Recognized Brand
  • Cons
  • Common (higher mintage)
  • Bottom Line
  • Yes, I would recommend this to a friend.

This is probably my favorite gold coin I have. The design is stunning. Its the perfect size, not too big, not too small. This coin will be harder and harder to find in the near future. I am glad apmex had it. Thanks.
