I had never heard of this civilization , the Mauryan Empire, (322-185 BC), Because of this ancient coin being offered at APMEX, I looked them up and they were historically a real big deal 2,300 years ago. The history in this coin. After purchasing a couple of the bronze variety of this coin, I purchased this Silver coin, ( good condition), especially with it being 2,300 years old. I would definitely recommend this coin for anyone's coin collection.
- Pros
- Value (low premium over spot)
- Collectible (lower mintage)
- Bottom Line
- Yes, I would recommend this to a friend.

Having bought 10 of these on balance I am very happy. There is the odd warn flat and or harshly cleaned coin but some really nice specimens. Interesting reading is available on-line re the symbols. There should be at least portions of five symbols visible on the coin and one must be the sun symbol.
- Pros
- Attractive Design
- Collectible (lower mintage)
- Bottom Line
- Yes, I would recommend this to a friend.

You cannot beat the opportunity to own such an old coin for such a fair price. To own a piece of silver with nearly 2,500 years of history is an awesome addition to the collection! If these continue to be available I will be purchasing more.
- Pros
- Attractive Design
- Collectible (lower mintage)
- Easy to Sell
- Bottom Line
- Yes, I would recommend this to a friend.
