Excellent Condition and Value! Pieces of History in my Hands!

Was this review helpful? Yes/ No

These were definitely better than cull condition! I don't consider myself an expert at grading coins but I got a 1922 peace dollar in there that looked almost close to BU. I love collecting these coins as history and as bullion. This is a great and affordable choice for people who are getting into those as well as coin collecting. Thank you, Apmex!

Great value, better than expected

The price on these are great, and a great american coin. They are listed as culls, but I have now bought 8 and the majority look better than cull to me. Only had one that was very slick out of the 8 which is a very acceptable. Will buy again.

Happy with what I got

Was this review helpful? Yes/ No

Ordered 10 Peace culls. 9 of the 10 are in pretty nice shape. 1 I can't read the date on, but that's to be expected. Got a decent variety of dates and mint marks with a few duplicates. I'd definitely buy again.

Very pretty coins, even when worn down!

Was this review helpful? Yes/ No

I strongly believe that older coins can still be attractive even when wear takes its toll, and the culls I received are no exception - I received 3 1922s and a 1927. All of them displayed varying amounts of wear, but none were bent or holed; one of the 1922s was definitely above cull condition, in my opinion.

got what I expected

Was this review helpful? Yes/ No

I ordered a bunch of these because I like Peace Dollars, and got about what I expected. A large majority were 22s and 23s, and a small majority were from Philadelphia. None of them were holed or bent. About 6% were pretty slick (readable dates, but rims and some outer and upper detail worn off). About 4% were discolored from contact with tape or other materials. About 15% were very shiny with little wear (I assume they were cleaned). Tarnish levels vary, and I'll arbitrarily categorize them as roughly evenly split between minimal/light/medium/heavy levels of tarnish. Sometimes the heavily tarnished pieces bring out the details in a pleasing way, and sometimes they are just ugly blotches. Overall I am pleased.
