    1914-D $20 Saint-Gaudens Gold Double Eagle MS-65 PCGS
Augustus Saint-Gaudens designed the Gold Double Eagle, which many consider the most beautiful coin ever minted. Augustus Saint-Gaudens (1848-1907) was an American sculptor who was born in Dublin, Ireland before emigrating with his family to New York City when he was a child. Over his lifetime, Saint-Gaudens became one of the country’s most celebrated sculptors. His works can be seen in various locations around the country, including New York City’s Central Park and the U.S. Capitol Building in Washington, D.C.

Saint-Gaudens' Gold Double Eagle design was first minted in 1907, shortly after his death, and continued through 1933 when President Franklin Roosevelt recalled all Gold coins from U.S. circulation. Saint-Gaudens' Gold Double Eagle design is still considered a work of art and remains widely collected today.
