Pre-1965 90% Silver coins, sometimes referred to as junk Silver or scrap Silver, are a great way to start your Silver investments. These Silver coins were pulled from circulation with the introduction of copper/nickel clad coins and the rising demand of Silver. The public saved them for their 90% Silver content as a rainy day fund they can fall back on.

Bought this item all coins were 1960.. I realize that the offer says it may contain all of one date but at least include one or two different dates. If all you have is 1960 the sell them as 1960.
- Bottom Line
- No, I would not recommend this to a friend

I definitely wanted some Franklin proofs because of their beauty and and because almost each year of the coins existence provides something to hunt for. The variations among the years for Franklin halves could give a collector a lot to do. That being said, I was only disappointed in receiving all 1962 coins. I would have enjoyed seeing multiple years, even if it was just a few, but every one of them was 1962. A few of the coins have spot issues, but overall their appearance is lovely. The main complaint, again, is that every single coin was from 1962. I would have preferred more variation on the dates to experience a broader spectrum of the coin.
- Pros
- Attractive Design
- Mint Condition
- Recognized Brand
- Cons
- Common (higher mintage)
- Hard to Sell
- Bottom Line
- Yes, I would recommend this to a friend.

I purchased (2) rolls of the Franklin Proofs. The first roll I thumbed through was perfect. (5) 1957's (1) 1960 (7) 1961 (7) 1962. The second roll were literally all (20) 1962.. I would have been 100% satisfied but I found 4 that had imperfections on the second roll, the biggest one being what looked to be a burn mark about 1 inch wide. The other three had small burn marks or yellow spots I could not gently rub off. And (1) coin I would bet is not a Proof at all. 35 of the 40 coins were exactly what I expected. The other 5 I would like to return.
- Pros
- Attractive Design
- Collectible (lower mintage)
- Mint Condition
- Bottom Line
- Yes, I would recommend this to a friend.
Merchant response: We greatly appreciate your feedback. Our Post Shipment team will follow up with you shortly to facilitate an exchange of the (5) subpar Halves.

I ordered two rolls, 33 coins were 1962 and 7 were 1961. There were no 1950's dates. The overall condition was good, although the coins had some milk and carbon spots and hairline scratches and a few bag marks.Half dozen were problem free to the naked eye. Still a good buy. I just wish I could get some earlier dates with my next order of the same.
