This Series 1934-A $10 Federal Reserve Note with "HAWAII" overprint was issued during WWII. This note is in Extra Fine condition.
Currency Highlights:- This denomination was one of four, along with the $1, $5 and $20 to be used for this purpose during the war.
- This note comes in a Mylar currency holder.
- Note is in Extra Fine condition.
- Printed in the early 1940s and features a brown seal and serial numbers along with the familiar portrait of the first secretary of the Treasury, Alexander Hamilton.
- The back of each note has a large “HAWAII” over stamp in block letters across the middle.
- Julian/Morganthau signatures—Friedberg #2303.

Due to the very real possibility of a Japanese invasion of Hawaii and the west coast following Pearl Harbor, the Treasury Department issued these special notes.
