Franklin Half Dollar Series
Introduced in 1948, the Franklin Half Dollar honors one of America’s most influential Founding Fathers, Benjamin Franklin. This series was produced until 1963, and it remains a favorite among collectors for its timeless design and historical significance.
90% Silver Coins
Pre-1965 90% Silver coins, sometimes referred to as "junk silver" or "scrap silver," are a simple way to start investing in silver. These coins were saved by the public when copper/nickel clad coins were introduced, and they remain a staple for collectors and silver investors alike.
The U.S. Mint
The U.S. Mint has been the producer of some of the most iconic coins in U.S. history. The Franklin Half Dollar series is another testament to the Mint’s craftsmanship, offering a timeless piece of American numismatic heritage. - Specifications

I agree with the customer who said 13 were 1963 and the rest common dates. yes the description should read xf-au. that customers order sounded very simular to mine. maybe this is apmex proceedure. they can do better. I am looking at thier walkers but i am a little gun shy now.

The coins look good, I would say most are in AU state, with a few in XF. I primarily purchased this so that my daughter and I could start filling in our Franklin half dollar book. I was extremely disappointed that every coin was a 1963-D. I would have much preferred to have at least a few mixed dates (like every other review listed here).
- Pros
- Attractive Design
- Recognized Brand
- Cons
- Common (higher mintage)
- Bottom Line
- No, I would not recommend this to a friend

- Easy to Sell
- Mint Condition
- Bottom Line
- Yes, I would recommend this to a friend.

Got the 20 coin roll of Benjamin Franklin halves. Most were in excellent condition and super shiny. One had a black stain on the back, I got mostly 1963s and 1962s, I believe one was 1957. Overall a great purchase, shipping and delivery was fast. Coins are a small enough denomination to sell/trade or barter with in case of hyperinflation.
- Pros
- Value (low premium over spot)
- Easy to Sell
- Mint Condition
- Bottom Line
- Yes, I would recommend this to a friend.
