Prized for their vivid multicolor Treasury seals and serial numbers, Rainbow Notes stand out from later U.S. currency issues. Printed only briefly in the late 19th century—most notably on the 1896 and 1899 Silver Certificates—their dramatic color variance served as both eye appeal and an early anti-counterfeiting measure. Today, their limited production and striking design continue to drive strong collector demand across all grades.
This note has seen moderate wear, but is intact without the usual distraction typical of these early U.S. paper money issues. This series has become a favorite with collectors due to the colorful fronts that give these their nickname of "rainbow notes." Add one of these classics to your cart today!
