This Persian Gold Daric was issued in the time of Darius I to Xerxes II. This is a nice coin that exhibits great detail.
This Gold Daric is more than 2,400 years old and was introduced by Darius the Great of Persia between 522 BC and 486 BC. These were used until the invasion of Alexander the Great in 330 BC. Upon invasion, darics were melted down and re-coined as coins of Alexander, which makes Persian darics quite rare.

This coin was passed from one ruler to the next and weren't dated. They are a nice addition to anyone's collection. Here's some History: Circa 485-420 BC. AV Daric (14mm, 8.30 g). Lydo-Milesian standard. Sardes mint. Persian king or hero, wearing kidarisand kandys, quiver over shoulder, in kneeling-running stance right, holding spear in right hand, bow in left / Incuse punch.
