Neat Colonial Note from the State of Massachusetts Bay and dated May 5, 1780 - printed just prior to the end of the Revolution. The denomination is Five Spanish Milled Dollars. This note uses red and black ink to deter counterfeiting.Currency Highlights:
- From a group of notes printed in Massachusetts during the Revolutionary War.
- Authorized by the Massachusetts legislature on May 5, 1780.
- Housed in an archival quality currency sleeve.
- This note is in Very Fine 35 Details, Canceled (typical in these notes) and Miscut condition.
- Face: Features the state name at top with the obligation below.
- Back: There is great red and black printing on the back to deter counterfeiting.
