Attractive 1776 $7 Continental note featuring the SERENABIT storm-at-sea vignette, Certified by PMG as Very Fine 20.Currency Highlights:
- This Continental Note is from the issue of September 26, 1778.
- Certified Very Fine-20 by PMG.
- Housed in an inert mylar currency holder by PMG.
- The denomination is Seven Spanish Milled Dollars.
- Face: Rounded vignette at left depicts a storm at sea beneath SERENABIT (“it will be calm”); bold signatures and clear detail.
- Back: Typical of Continental Currency issues, this note features a nature print.
- There are a number of pieces of mica that were mixed into the paper to deter counterfeiting.
- It was printed by Hall and Sellers of Philadelphia. That firm was formerly known as Benjamin Franklin and Hall.
