This bronze medal is 38 mm in diameter and comes in the original envelope as issued by the U.S. Mint.
Obverse: Designed by Thomas Rogers Sr. of the U.S. Mint shows U.S. forces with a battle tank, missile launcher, aircraft carrier, and aircraft representing the various branches of the Armed Forces that participated in the Persian Gulf conflict.
Reverse: Designed by John Mercanti also of the U.S. Mint with text that reads: PERSIAN GULF VETERANS NATIONAL MEDAL with Heraldic Eagle with banner inscribed "ACT OF CONGRESS 1992". In the center it reads DEDICATED TO THE MEN AND WOMEN OF THE U.S. ARMED FORCES WHO SERVED THEIR COUNTRY IN THE PERSIAN GULF CONFLICT. - Specifications
