Superb design by Pompeo Coppini that honors the centennial of the Independence of Texas. Interestingly, although Texas' centennial year should not have been celebrated until 1936, powerful friends in Congress were able to have coins minted beginning in 1934. The last of the Texas Centennial coins were minted in 1938. This coin grades Almost Uncirculated.
Issued to commemorate the Independence of Texas in 1836 this coin would be a great coin for a circulated set.
Coin Highlights:
