The coin I received was in great shape, an 1868...when I showed it to friends they didn't know what it was...they said the same thing about the half dimes, 3 cent nickel, large cent and 2 cent coins I have...all purchased from APMEX...great company with a great selection.

I love history and purchased one of these from APMEX. I received an 1867! It was a little more worn than the one pictured but considering it's 150 years old I'd say it's in nice shape. You can still see plenty of detail including the year. I would recommend this to a friend.

I read an interesting article about the history of 3 Cent Nickels and thought I'd buy a couple. I saw these were average circulated condition and ordered two anyway. I thought they would be very worn down but still neat to have based on the article I read. I was very pleasantly surprised when I received them as they were in really good condition (disclaimer - I'm not a "collector" and I don't really understand coin grading, but they look really good to me!). I've always been impressed by the items I receive from APMEX.
