Great coin.Pre 1900, good shape. Just a few scratches. Cost compared to 1oz of gold is more but not too much more. I had good luck with collectable coins keeping their value as price of gold is going down.
- Pros
- Attractive Design
- Bottom Line
- Yes, I would recommend this to a friend.

To hold a piece of history and to see the US gold coinage at the time of McKinley, T Roosevelt, Taft and to allow yourself the distraction of wondering who saw/handled these double eagles from >100 years ago adds an element of mystery and charm to gold collecting that new mintages can't compete with. APMEX pricing while understandably above spot is more than compensated for by the PCGS slab/MS-rating and professional order handling. For collectors in search of specific years or mints, the available information online won't likely satisfy, but if you're open to receiving a random year, it's hard to compete with this selection.
- Pros
- Collectible (lower mintage)
- Attractive Design
- Easy to Sell
- Bottom Line
- Yes, I would recommend this to a friend.
