The 1972 Type 2 is the Key Eisenhower Dollar Variety . Created with only one die, it's the series' "3-legged Buffalo" or "55 doubled die". This Eisenhower Dollar is one of the few business strike Ikes to bring a premium in any condition!
Coin Highlights:- Composed of outer layers of .750 Copper and .250 Nickel bonded to an inner core of pure Copper.
- Obverse: Depicts a bust of Dwight D. Eisenhower, designed by Frank Gasparro.
