I like collecting some Canadian coins, especially old Canadian Silver Dollars and 50 cent pieces. I bought this coin because I didn't have a 1949 in my collection. I was pleasantly surprised when I 1st saw the coin. It has a great deal of luster and under 3X magnification there were a couple minor scratches on the obverse, most notably on the queen's shoulder and another slight deep hairline scratch on her neck. On the Reverse, it was mirror-like with no scratches but very minimal wear on the high points and lettering, and all details on the ship were crisp and clear. I am very satisfied with this coin.
