Pre-1965 90% Silver coins, sometimes referred to as junk Silver or scrap Silver, are a great way to start your Silver investments. These Silver coins were pulled from circulation with the introduction of copper/nickel clad coins and the rising demand of Silver. The public saved them for their 90% Silver content as a rainy day fund they can fall back on.

Walkers not as expected

By  Den

2.0

I bought a $50 bag of 100 coins but was very disappointed in what I received. The halves were heavily worn in poor or fair condition. I ordered all walkers but received a bag of barbers and walkers. Some of the coins were culls and about a fourth had no dates at all. I would not buy from this source again.

Pros

  • Recognized Brand

Cons

  • Hard to Sell
  • Poor Condition

A good deal for the most beautiful silver coin ever minted.

Without a doubt, Adolph Weinman's best work. I was pleased with the quality of the Walking Liberty halves I received. Dates were more common, mostly in the 40s, but I hope to order more soon. Thank you, APMEX.

Pros

  • Value (low premium over spot)
  • Attractive Design
  • Easy to Sell

Cons

  • Common (higher mintage)

Very nice coins they are worn a little more than the bag of Franklin's I ordered but that's what I expected since these are so old. Overall very good quality and condition only a couple were worn quite a bit. Better than I expected. Very happy with these coins.

Overall quality of these coins is very worn... might average only G-5... Expect this quality if you by junk.

Cons

Disappointed--these coins are gross

This product arrived in poor condition. Of the 100 liberty half-dollars that I ordered, the coins were so worn I couldn't even make out the dates in about half of them. Only about 5-10 were in what I would consider to be good condition. Many were discolored significantly. I know this is junk silver, but I feel kind of stupid for paying so much for a bag of junk. I will not be ordering this again, lesson learned.

Cons

  • Poor Condition

Majority were in good condition.

I have been buying from APMEX since 2009 & have always been well satisfied. This purchase came missing 1 coin & 2 coins had holes drilled straight through them, which makes them culls. I contacted customer service & was told, that I would be hearing from claims in a few days & I was assured, that they would rectify the problem. The coins came securely packaged in a beautiful APMEX box, also the majority of them were in very good to very fine condition. I received 5 in the teens & 20's, 18 in the 30's & the rest from the 40.s, all in all a nice mix.

Product arrived exactly as advertised. Coins were mostly very nice, Only a few coins required close inspection for dates, these were mostly from 1917 so to be expected. I enjoyed these very much, and enjoyed sorting the coins with my niece and shared a piece of history for each coin year.
