90% Silver Coins
Pre-1965 90% Silver coins, sometimes referred to as junk Silver or scrap Silver, are a great way to start your Silver investments. These Silver coins were pulled from circulation with the introduction of copper/nickel clad coins and the rising demand of Silver. The public saved them for their 90% Silver content as a rainy day fund they can fall back on.
The U.S. Mint
The U.S. Mint has been the producer of some of the most iconic coins in U.S. history. The Walking Liberty Half Dollar series is another testament to the Mint’s craftsmanship, offering a timeless piece of American numismatic heritage. - Specifications

For the most part all of the half dollars were average circulation. Nothing stood out above "good". However there were 10 out of the 100 that I would consider culls. If I really want to be generous then there would be around 6 culls. Either way that is too many for a bag of coins that were curated enough to not contain anything above good quality. Also there were a few coins that were outright filthy. Couple with a tar or wax on them and one that had paper glued to one side taking up almost the entire face. This is the first order from apmex that I am legitimately dissatisfied with.
- Pros
- Attractive Design
- Collectible (lower mintage)
- Easy to Sell
- Cons
- Poor Condition
- Bottom Line
- No, I would not recommend this to a friend

I ordered 200 walking half dollars and was surprised that only 2 did not have legible dates on them. I know they are advertised as all having dates but I know sometimes a few will slip through inspection.
- Bottom Line
- Yes, I would recommend this to a friend.

Some coins were slick but got the most part it feels awesome to have silver history run through your hands with this purchase. Reading the dates on the liberty half dollars and corresponding to times in American history is also very exiting but maybe I’m just a nerd that way.

I received: (3)1916-19, (2)1920-29, (19)1930-39, and (76)1940-47. Most, if not all, are heavily circulated but the year is legible on all of them. Two had enough rim damage that it would put them in the cull category for me. The coin sack is durable and could fit a LOT more coins. Overall pleased with the lot because of the good sale price. It was packed well and arrived in good condition.
- Pros
- Value (low premium over spot)
- Attractive Design
- Easy to Sell
- Recognized Brand
- Cons
- Common (higher mintage)
- Bottom Line
- Yes, I would recommend this to a friend.

Nice mix of dates and mm's. A couple AU/BU we're a nice surprise. 2 with illegible dates were quickly replaced upon request by the excellent APMEX customer service team. Always reliable and a pleasure to do business with!
