My coin arrived in a small sealed paper envelope described as a 'cachet' and the seal on the envelope appears to be blue wax. Both sides of the coin are visible through a 'window' in the cachet. The cachet is inside a small plastic folder, which is nice, but sort of has a 70s style look to it. The coin looks proof to me. The fields have a mirror finish and the raised portions have a frosted appearance. I think this is a good value. It's fractional gold, but cheaper than buying a comparable amount of fractional bullion, such as three 1/10th ounce Krugs or American Eagles. Definitely a good buy as far as I'm concerned.

The coin was labeled "proof" on the description and was merely the "uncirculated version. I'm fine with the coin as the picture didn't look like a "proof" anyway. There were Proof versions of this coin minted and they do have slightly greater value. So I do appreciate Apmex service and quick shipping and will continue to do business with Apmex whenever appropriate. Sorry I couldn't just rate this on all my past experiences with Apmex which have all been very good, but I'm sure Apmex is interested in all customer experiences as I believe that is the type company they are. Overall I am very pleased with my dealings with Apmex and would recommend them to others.
